Charles 'Vern' Whited, Jr., of Pueblo, Colo., 70, passed away June 6, 2005. Survived by his wife, Geraldine Whited; children, Marie Alana (Michael) Hall of Grandview, Wash., Stephanie 'Stevy' Whited of Pueblo and Linda Kathleen (fiancé, Chris Kuhrt) Whited of Aurora; sister, Betty Nelle Flanders of Burlington, Wisc.; and grandchildren, Noelle, Vicki and Steven Hall. Preceded in death by his parents, Nellie Viola and Charles Vern Whited, Sr.; and sister, Eleanor Louise Jantzen. Vern was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Pueblo. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired as Parts Manager for Diodosio Pontiac after many years of service. Vern enjoyed watching the Silver Mountain Bluegrass Fiddlers perform. Viewing at the funeral home today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Brad Munroe officiating. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and relatives at the family home after the interment. HE AND I HAD MANY YEARS OF WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP AND I WILL REALLY MISS HIM, EVEN THOUGH HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO VISIT THE FEW TIMES WE ARE IN PUEBLO.
