Charles M. Wilkins, 80, passed away Dec. 9, 2009. Survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary A. Wilkins; children, Tony (Jackie) of Dallas, Texas, Judy of Adrian, Mo. and Lisa (Larry) of Kansas City, Kan.; siblings, Victor of Overland Park, Kan., William, and Betty Wilkins, both of St. Joseph, Mo.; and grandchildren, Carys and Luca Bella. Charles was born to Jeremy and Beatrice Wilkins on May 28, 1929, in St. Joseph, Mo. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish and a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Viewing from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday with the Vigil service immediately following. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, with Charles's brother in law, Fr. James V Brown, OAR and Msgr. Edward Nunez as concelebrants. Viewing and services held at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr., Pueblo West. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team following the Mass. Interment, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ft.   7. Uncle Chuck, only 10 years older than myself. I loved you so much and as a child I thought that we would marry when i grew up. You found your love, Mary, and I learned that uncles and nieces don’t marry. I never stopped loving you.
