Charles F. 'Chuck' Hicks, 65, passed away Sept. 24, 2012. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Terry Hicks; son, Michael (Karen) Hicks; sister, Anita (John D.) Musso; father-in-law, Leonard W. Pawlus; and sister-in-law, Janet (Bill) Clay. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jean Hicks; and mother-in-law, Dixie Pawlus. Chuck was born July 6, 1947, in Lawrence, Kan. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Pueblo Police Department and Pueblo District Attorney's Office. He volunteered as a handicap parking enforcer for the Pueblo Police Department. Chuck enjoyed photography and wheelchair basketball. He was past All State Commander of the VFW Post 5812 and member of VFW Post 3641, Knights of Columbus 122020 and Optimist Club. As per his request, there will be no viewing. Rosary, 6 p.m. Thursday and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, with the Rev. Father Carlos Alvarez as celebrant. Both services at St. Paul the Apostle, 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr., Pueblo West. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the interment at Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford Av., Pueblo, CO 81005.
