Charles “Charlie” Faye Bayless, 85, passed away Jan. 22, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Survived by wife of 41 years, Lillian Mae Bayless; children, David (Maryam) Bayless, Chris (Tom) Hinson, Michael (Kirsta) Norris and Perry (Denai) Thornton; grandchildren, Jarrod (Michelle) Bayless, Brynn (David) Minturn, Ryleigh Hinson, Tatum and Cooper Norris, Patrick (Liz) Thornton and Nicole (Tucker) Barnes; great-grandchildren, Kie, Jessy and Gage Bayless and Jaydlyn, Ayden and Lillyan Minturn; great great-grandchildren, Skarlette “Hot Sause” Bayless and Lincoln Bayless; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; and three brothers. Charlie was born to Kie and Irene Bayless on Oct. 21, 1935, in Medora, Kan., was in the U.S. Marines from 1953 to 1955, and moved to Pueblo in 1956. He began his career with B & S Excavating in 1964, leaving to start Bayless Excavating in 1966 He farmed in Missouri from 1973 until he returned to Colorado in 1976, and started Bayless & Associates in 1978, later to become Bayless & Bayless, Inc. In 1991, he left B&B to start Dirt N Demo which he owned and operated until 2015, when he retired and dedicated his life to Lillian with a promise to have a full plate of activities and enjoying family gatherings and hot rods. A beloved husband, dad, papa, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather has gone, but will never be forgotten. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
