Charles “Chuck” Carrington, 66, lost his long battle with cancer on February 27, 2024.
Survived by his children, Jennifer Carrington, Jaimie (Dennis) Wells, Justin Carrington and Jason (Alison Warren) Roberts; special uncle, Mike Hayden; grandchildren, Isabel (Rick), Anthony, Shane, Jacob, Caitlyn, Joey, Ryan, Emily, Landon, James (Danielle), Andrew (Caitlyn), Matthew, Elli, Julian; siblings, Mitch (Sandy) Carrington, Joyce (Mark) Grinstead, Kim Carrington-Colby; numerous great-grand children, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Carper; parents, Sue McBride and Charles “Charlie” Carrington Jr.; and brother, Russel Carrington.
Chuck was born June 26, 1957, in Pueblo, Colo. Chuck was a Centennial Graduate class of 1976, where he found the love of football. He was very artistic and worked with his hands for most of his life in construction as a framer. He loved riding his Harley, camping, hunting and fishing. In his pastime he could be found at the slot machines in Cripple Creek or Blackhawk. He loved to watch football and racing and anything to do with history. Chuck loved doing all the extra activities that any of his grandkids would request of him. Chuck will be sorely missed by his family and anyone who had the pleasure to hear one of his stories.

Came back to Colorado to visit a friend who wasn’t in good health. I was very anxious to see you Chuck. It had been too many years. I went to the house and could tell you weren’t there by appearance alone, I passed it by. It was then I began researching and found this page. Brother, I’m so sorry I didn’t stay in closer contact. You were such a constant in life, I felt like it would always be that way. You and Sheila will always be a constant in my mind of memories. You were a man amongst men. I will miss you as a brother and an inspiration of what it means to truly walk like a man. To say I love you seems insufficient but finding out your gone has left a hole. Ride easy Chuck and give Sheila girl my love. Bobby
My condolences to everyone, the things i remember the most ,, I sold my honda cb500t to chuck for 200$ after I had gotten in a accident with it . His mustache! And mostly how hard he hit as a linebacker ..he lit me up a few times.

Sorry to see this. Over the years I lost contact with Chuck but my memory of him playing football at Centennial lives on. He was one of my offensive linemen his senior year as I was the offensive line coach. Great group of players!!
