Caroline Cramer Voss passed away February 4, 2000. Mrs. Voss was a lifetime resident of ueblo, wife of Fred H. Voss, former owner of the Phillips Music Company and President of the Pueblo City Council in 1955, who receded her in death, January 20, 1973. Daughter of the late Theodore and Caroline R. Cramer, early residents of the area. During her husband's term as President of the City Council, Mrs. Voss suggested the name 'Happy Time Ranch' for the newly opened little
animal exhibit at the local zoo in Pueblo City Park. 'Because' she said, 'We want
the children and adults to have a happy time when they come to see the baby
animals.' Survived by numerous cousins and many friends. Graduated from
Centennial High School and attended the Palette Studio of Fashion Design in Denver.
Member of First Presbyterian Church and active in the Women's Association of the
church. Member of Friends of the Library, Pueblo Metropolitan Museum, Board
Member of Friends of the Parks, Parkview Auxiliary and Personnel Chairman of
Parkview Gift Shop for many years. At her request, there will be no viewing.
Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held
2:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2000, at Montgomery & Steward Chapel with
Reverend Dr. John Ross officiating. Private interment, Roselawn. Memorials may be
made to the Parkview Hospital Memorial Fund, in Mrs. Voss' name, through the
funeral home.
