During her retirement, she volunteered her time with the Pueblo Cooperative Care Center and the Department of Human Services, Ombudsman Division. She was a member and past president of the Pueblo Elkettes. She was also very active in her homeowners association. Each of us children had a different experience of our mom while we were growing up and as adults. We all experienced mom's gift of uncompromising love and joy of life. She encouraged us to be who we are, while guiding us to live a life based on the golden rule. She truly enjoyed being a mom, a friend and a grandma.
