Calogero 'Carl' Giannetto passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2008, at the age of 72. Survived by his wife, Angalica Giannetto; children, Lea (Ed) Cassidy, Suzanne (Hoss) Kashani, Angela (Kenny) Crank, Nina (Joe) Douglass and Joseph (Jennifer ) Giannetto; grandchildren, Kelley (Dustin) Powers, Steven, Carl and Lea Rae Cassidy, Nella (Joel Dagnillo) and Amanda Kashani, Kayla, Bessie and Kenny J. Crank, Ashley, Matthew and Hanna Douglass; sister-in-law, Marie Giannetto; brother-in-law, Ante Borcic; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Guisseppi and Liboria Giannetto; brother, Salvatore Giannetto; sister, Josephine Borcic; and granddaughter, Sarah Crank. Carl was born on November 12, 1935, in Lucca Sicula, Sicily. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1954, at the age of 19, along with his parents. He began a new life in Pueblo, Colorado. He raised his family, instilling his belief that this is the greatest country in the world. Carl worked hard at C.F.&I., to support his family, and retired after 30 years of service at the age of 54. He enjoyed his retirement with his family and friends. He was a committed fun-loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly and lovingly missed. Viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, noon Thursday, March 13, 2008, at St. Pius X Parish, 3130 Morris Ave., with the Reverend Father J. William Huber, Ph.D. as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
