Bud H. Bothwell, 72, went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2000. Survived by his wife, LaVonne Bothwell of the family home; children, Jeri Bothwell, Buddy D. (Susan) Bothwell, Debbie (David) Watkins and Leila Bothwell; brother, Gordon (Evelyn) Bothwell, all of Pueblo; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James 'Rex' Bothwell and Richard Bothwell; and sister, Sharon Cowles. Born to Amos 'Jack' and Leila (née Bomar) Bothwell on January 31, 1928, in Little Sioux, Iowa. He married LaVonne Montey of Red Cloud, Nebraska on October 27, 1950. Bud served his country in the Navy during WWII and was an Atomic Veteran, serving in the Bikini Islands. Bud owned and operated Bud Bothwell Stucco since 1954 and the business continues to be operated by his son. He was a member and a deacon at West Street Baptist Church. He will lie in state at the funeral home today from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday from 1-6 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at West Street Baptist Church, 1001 West St., with Pastor David Peterson and Pastor Doug Morris officiating. Military Honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team and interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens
