Bruce D. Stalford, 74, was born on December 13, 1930, and went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2005. Bruce married Cleta Kibler on July 26, 1953. He was the founder and pastor of Mesa Centennial Baptist Church for 20 years. He also retired from Industrial Gas Products in 1996. Bruce was a member of South Pueblo Lodge #31, A.F. & A.M. and past Worthy Patron of Acacia Chapter O.E.S. of Rocky Ford. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cleta; children, James, Maude and Bruce Jr.; parents, Ida (Colyer) and Elmer Stalford; and sister, June Stalford. Survived by his loving daughter, Deanna (Robert) Mooney; grandchildren, Michael (Crystal) Mooney and Roberta (Fred) Harris; great-grandchildren, Lailah, Janeece, Davian, Blake and Christopher; siblings, Allen and Lois; special sister-in-law, Wanda Hughs; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, July, 2, 2005, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with John Stalford officiating, followed by Eastern Star Service by Fidelity Chapter # 144 O.E.S.   1. Bruce Stalford was the chaplain at the Pueblo County Jail for many years before he became ill. I remember him as a patient, kind and considerate man who was tireless in his efforts and willingness to help others. His presence has always been missed.

  2. I just learned, as I was working on some family history, about Bruce and Cleta’s passing. Our condolences to you all. We haven’t notified Lois yet, but will soon. I’m sorry I didn’t get to know them better, they seemed to be wonderful people.
