Brenda 'Sue' Helmick, 56 , born Sept. 17, 1952; departed April 18, 2009. Preceded in death by father, James Norton; stepfather, Richard D. Lewis; mother, Juanita Lewis; sister, Sharon Smithour; brother, Harry Lewis; and son, Ricky Helmick. Survived by husband, Keith Helmick; children, Russ (Darla) Helmick, Tammy Helmick, Allen (Lynn) Helmick, Sheena Marie Helmick; siblings, Don Shipman, Carol (Bill) Mayer, David (Cindy) Lewis, Tom Lewis (Cee Cee Arellano), Terry (Shelley) Lewis, Mark (Kimberly) Lewis; sister-in-law, Lupe Skidmore; and numerous nephews, nieces and grandchildren. Sue loved the outdoors - going camping and fishing - and, of course, the Broncos. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing crafts with her sister, Carol. She had a way to make you feel very comfortable and welcome in any setting. Viewing, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the Montgomery & Steward South Chapel. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Thursday, at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home. Burial at Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Dear Kieth, I’d like to express my deepest condolences for your loss. Having worked so many years with you, I remember things like yours and Sue’s generosity, bringing spaghetti dinners for coworkers, etc ( by the way her spaghetti was superb).
