Bonnie Orpha (Buxton) Ashworth, age 92, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011. Born in Wichita, Kan., Aug. 23, 1918. Moved to Pueblo in 1960. Predeceased by son, Lowell Thomas Ashworth and seven siblings. Survived by husband of 74 years, Thomas C. Ashworth of Pueblo Villa; son, Tony (Beverly) Ashworth of Englewood, Colo.; daughter, Peggy (Robert) McCown of Pueblo West; and daughter-in-law, Joanne Ashworth of Riverside, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Memorial service, 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at First United Methodist Church where Bonnie was a longtime member. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie's honor to First United Methodist Church, Frontier Hospice or Pueblo Cooperative Care Center, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.   1. Mrs. Ashworth’s father was my great great grandmother’s brother. I descend from Emma Buxton, who married Albert Cline. I wish I had known of Mrs. Ashworth, as I would have lived to share information of her ancestry and perhaps gain some as well. I hope some of her family will contact me and have an interest in the Buxton family history. My sincerest condolences.
