Beverly Deane (Stout) Grisham, 89, entered into peaceful rest on Aug. 29, 2013. She came into this world on Dec. 3, 1923, with her identical twin sister, Phyllis Jean Stout, who passed away at age 7 due to menengitis. The biggest sorrow of Beverly's life was not growing old with her twin. Now they can both run and play together in Heaven. She was also preceded in death by her cherished parents, Orville and Vera Stout; loving brothers, Robert 'Bob' and Gary Stout. She is survived and treasured by her only child, daughter, Susan (Calvin) Mendell. She was also the loving grandmother of Craig (Natalie) Mendell and Melissa (Matt) Strasia. Beverly has five precious great-grandchildren that she loved immensely, Samantha, Sophia and Charlotte Strasia, twins, Colby and Camille Beverly Mendell, her namesake. She is also survived by brother, John (Wanda) Stout; sister, Gail Tapia; sisters-in-law, Barbara Stout and Dorothy Stout of Dumas, Texas; brother-in-law, Eugene W. Tapia; and many nieces and nephews. Beverly retired from the City-County Health Department as Deputy Register of Vital Statistics in 1989. She was an avid china painter for many years as well as a reproduction antique doll maker. She loved square dancing, but her main devotion was to Susan and her family. She had lived with them the past four and a half years. At her request, cremation with a private graveside service. She will be buried at Roselawn Cemetery next to her parents. We release her in peace and love. Until we meet again. Online condolences, www.MongomerySteward.com
