Betty Lou Bush, 87, of Pueblo, passed away April 12, 2014. She was born in Lowden, Iowa on Dec. 27, 1926, to Louis and Matilda (Ernsting) Meier. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Francis Bush; children, Rebecca Bush, of Denver, David (Gay) Bush, of Berthoud, Kristen (Walt) Mader, of Lakewood, Jon Bush, of Pueblo; grandchildren, Adam Mader, Alyssa Mader; brothers, Donald (Donna) Meier, Norman Meier; brother-in-law, Donald (Dorothy) Bush, numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Arnold and Fred Meier. Betty was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired as an RN, having worked at St. Mary Corwin and Pueblo Manor Nursing Home, and was a longtime volunteer for the Sisters of Charity. She was dearly loved by all her family and will be missed by those who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or School, through the funeral home. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 W. Evans. Interment, Ft. Logan National Cemetery.

I just heard from Sharon of Betty’s passing and wanted to send my condolences. You guys were very special to Esther and Andy and the rest of us and I am sorry I have been so out of touch. I’ll bet Betty is running all around Heaven and bowling with Mom. Such a sweet Lady will be missed by us all. Love, Jennie
