Betty J. Flanders, 77, departed this life June 30, 2010. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph M. Flanders; children, Sherri (Calvin) Keys of Pueblo and Joel (Helen) Flanders of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Shelbie Keys, Seth Keys and Sean Flanders; inseparable sisters and lifelong friends, Lorraine Lewis of Canon City and Carlene Carlson of Pueblo; nephews, Mark (Rhonda) Lewis and Michael (Tina) Lewis; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; dear friends, Pat Craig, Raelene Wilson, Duane and Gladys Keys; and her dog, Tippy. Betty was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Pueblo, to Erhart and Clara Carlson. She and Joseph were married Aug. 9, 1952. She enjoyed camping, gardening and any outdoors activities. Betty especially treasured her time spent with her grandchildren and her dear friends of the 'Rocky Mountain Rubies.' There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. As per Betty's request there will be no service. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2010, at the home of Sherri and Calvin Keys, 1387 28th Lane.
