Betty E. West, 85, passed away Dec. 26, 2010. Betty was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Cotopaxi, Colo. and is survived by son, P.G. West (Linda) West; granddaughter, Gina West; great-granddaughter, Abbigale West-Fuchs of Cortez, Colo.; and brother, Don (Betty) DeVore of Pueblo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gene West. Service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at First Church of God, 528 W. Abriendo Ave., with Pastor Dan Bryant officiating. To the family of Betty West my deepest sympathy to all…Betty was a good friend of my Grandparents Jose and Frances Arellano who lived next door to another friend of hers’Marge and Vince Russick on East 9th street. I had the oppurtunity also too be Bettys’ letter carrrier and enjoyed the little chats we had when I would show up with her mail. She was a gentle woman and was always eager to come out and share a few short words with myself.I know if my Grandparents were still alive they would have wanted to share their condolences as well.
