Bernard Joseph Van Dielen, 89, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 18, 2013, while in his sleep. Survived by his sons, Brian (Ruthie) Van Dielen of Pueblo West and Brad (Ann) Van Dielen of Washington State; sister, Marilyn Sheets; brother, Robert Van Dielen; grandchildren, Keara Ann Van Dielen and Kegan William Van Dielen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Van Dielen; parents, Bernard W. and Hannah B. (Williams) Van Dielen; sisters, Bernice Dohse and Vivian White; and brother, John Van Dielen. Bernard was born April 16, 1924, in Cherryvale, Kans. He was a Department Manager for Montgomery Ward until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting. Memberships include the VFW Pueblo West Chapter and the American Legion Wabash Indiana Chapter. At his request, cremation with no service.
