Benjamin R. Hudson, 84, passed away September 1, 2001. Survived by his son, Roche G. Hudson and grandchildren, Christopher R. Hudson and Mary E. Hudson, all of Lakewood, Colorado. Born March 1, 1917, in Peggs, Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma. Benjamin spent most of his boyhood days in Harrison, Arkansas and moved to California in July 1941. He joined the Navy in August of 1943, during World War II, and was discharged in November 1945. He lived in California for 23 years before moving to Pueblo in May of 1965. His occupation while living in California was an appliance technician and he continued his trade at Sears in Pueblo for 15 ½ more years before retiring on April 2, 1982. Benjamin was an avid fisherman, bowler and golfer. He was a member of Christ Congregational Church and Eagles Lodge No. 145. He will lie in state at the funeral home Thursday, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team and graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2001, at Imperial Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Scott Thomas officiating.
