Barbara J. Denny, 92, passed away on June 11, 2022. Survived by daughters, Linda R. (Steve) Harmon of Alpine, Calif. and Cindy Holligan of Pueblo, Colo.; son, Scott A. Denny of Parker, Colo.; grandchildren, Kristi (Curtis) Martin of Alpine, Calif., Brittany (Justin) Tomsic of Georgetown, Ind., Danielle (Matthew) Holligan of Fort Collins, Colo. and Brett Holligan of Minneapolis, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Uriel) Maldonado of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Donna (Bill) Ward of Fort Collins, Colo.; 103 years old beloved cousin, Orella Chadwick of Tillamook, Ore.; and nephew, Bill (Dolores) Watson of Reston, Va.

Preceded in death by husband, Herman “Corky” Denny, Jr.; her parents; aunt, Murla Ralston; and sister, Carrie Blanchard.

Barbara was born to Lela and Ralph Burton on April 22, 1930, in Cortez, Colo. and worked at the Colorado State University-Pueblo as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed the Denver Broncos, lunch, socializing with friends, watching (playing) golf, square dancing, visits to the mountains of Westcliffe and many road trips to visit family in Oregon, California and Missouri. She never met a dog she didn’t like and she never met a stranger. Barbara was a member of the University Retirees Association of Pueblo.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Aug. 29, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St., with Pastor Nancy Smith officiating.   1. Barbara was an amazing lady! I worked with her at Haaff elementary school in the media center. She was always happy and smiling and loved the children at Haaff. She will be missed by many.

  2. What an amazing life she lived…didn’t see her often, but she was always so sweet and kind when we did. I loved her smile. Wishing peace and comfort to Linda, Cindy and Scott and all those she loved.
