Barbara A. Bettger, of Pueblo West, Colo., was born to James B. and Lorene (Billie) Walker Thrailkill on September 28, 1933, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She lost her ten year battle with cancer on July 19, 2008, surrounded by friends and family. Barb married Ron Bettger October 2, 1964, at United Brethren Church in Colorado Springs, and Ron became a special father to Barb's sons Daniel Mora and Anthony Sharer. Barb was predeceased by her parents, James Thrailkill and Billie Thrailkill Gilbert; her stepfather, Frank Gilbert; uncle, Truman walker; her son, Daniel Mora; brother-in-law, Vaughn Dunbar; and great-nephew, Colby Provinsal. Barb and Ron were fortunate to be able to travel extensively, as a military family, For Compugraphics Inc. and for their own company Microcrafts Inc. They retired in January, 2002 and relocated from Colorado Springs to Pueblo West, where they found the most wonderful neighbors Jim and Carol, Laura and David, and George and Cheryl who were there for them always with prayers, food and caring love. Also remembered fondly: The Ladies of Spring Lake on Miramar Drive – Barb's best friends, Betty Carberry, Gerry Wagner, Modeena Stultz, Dar Blood, Joan Esposito, Laura Sheehan, John and Terry Miconi, The Women of Wisdom at Chapel of Our Savior and the Congregation at Holy Spirit. Barb was blessed with wonderful friends, neighbors and family. She is also survived by her beloved husband, Ron; her son, Anthony Sharer; her much loved, daughter-in-law, Karen Mora, her granddaughters, Barbara Sutton Mora Hayes (Kerry) and Cassidy Mora; by brothers, Charles (Donna Burns), James, Robert, William (Jean) and Kenneth (Sue); her sister and best friend, Gladys Dunbar; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Lynda Bettger; aunt, Laura Walker; 22 nieces and 20 nephews, and last but not least 'Cricket' her beautiful blue eyed cat. No services- there will be a gathering at the Columbarium, Evergreen Cemetery later. No flowers please! Donations to Multiple Sclerosis, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.
