Audrey Ann Barnett, 77, passed away November 1, 2014. Survived by husband, Charles 'Chuck'; children, Michael (Vel) Barnett, Julie Barnett, Janet (George Heine) Barnett, Susan (Howard) Russell and Marie (Brian Lang) Barnett; nine grandchildren and their spouses; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Anna Marie; and son-in-law, Jeffery Hoy. Audrey was born to Anthony and Angela Medved on March 22, 1937, in Pueblo. She was a retired supervisor of School District #60 Warehouse. Family was her life! Her kindness touched the hearts of many. She was proud of her Slovenian heritage and the neighborhood she lived in her entire life. Audrey was an avid bass fisherwoman. She was elected president of the Colorado B.A.S.S. Federation, making her the first woman president of any B.A.S.S. Federation in the United States. She loved to travel and enjoyed going to Cripple Creek. The family wishes to thank Dr. Shapiro, Parkview ICU staff and the respiratory therapists for giving us more time to spend with mom. Additionally, we wish to express our gratitude to Sangre de Cristo Joni Fair Hospice House for their kindness and care allowing her to pass peacefully. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014, St. Mary's Church, 307 E. Mesa. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.   1. so sorry to hear about Audrey. She truly loved her family and friends. Rsoce, Chuck, and Audrey were part of the founding fathers of the Southern Colorado Bass Club and we have many fond memories of those times. Audrey will always be with her family in spirit. just know she loved you very much.
