Arthur Jay Wampler Jr., 87, passed away April 21, 2016, in Pueblo, Colo. Born July 16, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio to Arthur Sr. and Vera Wampler. Moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1947, where he made his career as a printer. In 1980, he relocated to Beulah, Colo. to work in the maintenance department for District 70. On May 17, 1986, he married Joan Robinson. The two enjoyed their retirement together by traveling the world, square dancing, and cruising to Manitou in his Mercedes. Preceded in death by his first wife, Nelly Wampler; the love of his life, Joan Robinson Wampler; step-son, Gregory 'Griz' Robinson. Survived by granddaughters, Gracie Robinson and Lesley Robinson; daughter-in-law, Denise (Griz) Robinson; sister, Rose Gibson; and niece, Debby (Verne) Green. Jay was a member of the Elks Lodge #90 and Buttons & Bows Square Dancing. Memorial service, 11 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 28, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, 310 W. 11th Street.
