Antonio Francisco 'Tony' Herrera, 88, also known as 'Mr. Fixer-upper,' passed away March 18, 2009. Beloved husband of Delores Hererra. Also survived by his children, Antonio (Eleanor) Herrera of Oxnard, Calif., Juan (Fidelia) Herrera of Alamosa, Colo., Frank (Janet) Herrera, Jeff (Patricia) Alcon of Pueblo, Sandy (Manuel) Hernandez of Lamar, Colo., Kathy (Frank) Rodriguez of Pueblo, Elizabeth (Deb) Alcon of Aurora, Colo., Carol (Marlena) Alcon of Portland, Ore. and Carl Alcon of Pueblo; sister, Nea Torrez of Albuquerque, N.M.; mother-in-law, Lucy Grant of Pueblo; special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Dorotea Herrera; four brothers; and two sisters. Tony was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Las Vegas, N.M. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the DAV and VFW. He retired from C.F.&I. in 1982. He loved fishing and trips to Cripple Creek. Viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and funeral service, 10 a.m. Monday, both in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team and interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
