Antoinette Gavaletz, 86, passed away Aug. 20, 2008. Survived by her daughter, Connie (Carl Musso) Colby of Pueblo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son, James Joseph Gavaletz; parents, Vincenzo and Mary Penza; siblings, Armand Penza, Anna Smith, Guy Penza, Joe Penza, Rose Tucker and John Penza. Antoinette was born April 8, 1922, in Pueblo. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, member and past president of Eagles Auxiliary #145 and Ladies Fidelity Lodge 56 of the Columbian Federation. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to all who cared for Antoinette at Horizon Heights and Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Viewing Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, from 2 to 7 p.m. and funeral service, 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, both in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Father Ben Bacino and will conclude with the Eagles' Service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association or American Heart Association, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.   4. Aunt Toni was like a Mom to me…
    I often spent time with Aunt Toni when I went over to visit my Dad
    (John Penza, one of the many Penza Brothers of Aunt Toni’s) when I was growing up in Pueblo. She was such a wonderful fun loving and caring Lady! I will miss her and think of her daily for the rest of my Life! I miss you Aunt Toni…now you are with the rest of the Penza Family in Heaven!!!
