Alvin F. 'Al' Link, 77, passed away Aug. 9, 2012. Survived by his wife, Barbara A. Link; children, Deb Adamsbraasch, David Link (Mary) and Mike Harris (Steve); brothers, Dave (Sandy), Ron (Sandy) and Frank (Constance Peebles); grandchildren, Richard, John (Cat), Hannah, Lucas and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Crimson, Myrakle and Adryn; seven nephews; four nieces; several great-nephews and nieces; numerous other family and friends. Preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen; parents, Vallie and Mildred; and brothers, Chuck and Ed.
Al was born April 3, 1935, on the family farm near Piqua, KS. He was a civil/structural engineer for CF&I from 1967 until his retirement in 1991. He then worked for his own company Pueblo Blue, as a professional design and structural engineer. He was a member of the Coalition of Pueblo Engineers. Al was an active member of Pueblo Charter Lions Club since 1972. He served in several offices of the club, including the Youth Exchange Chairman for many years. Al was recently awarded 'life member' status. He was also a member of B.P.O. Elks #90 and numerous groups and organizations.
There will be no viewing. Cremation at Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating.
Following the service we will continue the celebration of his life at the Zebulon Pike area of the Riverwalk. Please bring pictures or other memories to share. Al appreciated good foods, so if you have a favorite snack or finger food, please bring it with you.

Al you will truely be missed, You were a wonderful friend that wil be missed.
Al, you were the salt of the Earth. You helped so many people, and were a true testiment to a Family Man. There were few like you, now there is one less, may Gos bless you thru Eternity in thanks for your Wonderful Life here. Your Friend Jim
Al was a good friend and long-time patron of ESTATE LIQUIDATORS; a most enjoyable person to know and with whom to chat! My condolences to his family.
