Allen E. Jimison, former longtime resident of Sioux City, Iowa, died at the age of 84 on July 15th, 2001. Complications from an eight year battle with Alzheimer's disease took his life. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Jimison of the
family home in Pueblo, Colorado; three children, Douglas (Carole) Jimison of Pueblo, Nicki (Bill) Davidson of Overland, Kansas and Sherri (Tom)
Kochen of Pueblo. He has four living sisters, Dorothy McDonald of Morehead, Minnesota, Myrtle Fahey, Lonnie Powers and Carolyn Konczak, all of
California. Allen has six grandsons and five great-grandchildren. Allen was born February 27th, 1917, in Sioux City. He worked as a carpenter and job foreman for Schoeneman Lumber Company for forty years. He was an avid golfer at
Morningside Country Club for twenty years. After moving to the western part of town, he joined the golf club at Elk Point where he played another twenty years. He and his wife enjoyed dancing
as part of the Crystal Rhythm Dance Club for about forty years. Through his work and friendships, Allen touched the lives of many in Sioux City. He was well liked and always displayed a great sense of humor.
