Allen Dean Brock

Allen Dean Brock, a lifelong Coloradan whose love for family, laughter, animals, classic cars, and community touched countless lives, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 85. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, humor, and unforgettable memories.

Allen was born on December 28, 1940, in Rocky Ford, Colorado. He grew up in Sugar City, a place that always remained close to his heart, and spent the remainder of his life in Pueblo, the community he proudly called home. He loved Colorado deeply and was proud of its people, traditions, landscapes, and sports teams. Whether cheering for the Denver Broncos or supporting any Colorado team, Allen was always a loyal fan.

Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his children, Joann and Jerry (Kim); his grandchildren, Brittany Rae, Joseph, Benjamin, and Daniel; and his treasured great-grandson, Nikkoliah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Daniel; his sister, Geraldine; and his brothers, Leroy and Robert.
Allen was incredibly proud of the Brock name and the legacy it represented. He valued hard work, loyalty, family, and treating others with kindness and respect. Those values guided his life and continue through the generations he leaves behind.

A gifted craftsman and builder, Allen believed that anything worth having was worth building with his own hands. He built the family cabin by hand, creating a special place where loved ones gathered for generations to celebrate, relax, and make memories. He also built a cherished playhouse for his granddaughter, a gift made with love that reflected both his talent and devotion to family.

Allen was a lifelong Ford enthusiast and collector. He treasured his 1929 Model A Roadster Truck and his 1930 Model A car and spent countless hours restoring, maintaining, and admiring classic automobiles. His love for vintage vehicles ran so deep that he dedicated an entire room of his home to his collection of classic car memorabilia, models, and treasures.
While many knew Allen for his mechanical abilities, those closest to him knew he also had a creative side. He enjoyed coloring, creating stained-glass pieces, and working on projects that allowed him to express his artistic talents. Whether he was in the garage, at his workbench, or sitting down with a coloring book, he found happiness in creating something meaningful.

Family was the center of Allen’s world. He loved vacations, road trips, and any opportunity to spend time with those he loved. Some of his happiest memories were made on the road, sharing stories, laughter, and adventures with family. He treasured the time spent together far more than the destination itself.

Anyone who knew Allen knew he loved a good joke. He had an incredible sense of humor and genuinely enjoyed making others laugh. His quick wit, playful teasing, and contagious laughter could brighten any room. He never missed an opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face and will be remembered as a true jokester who found joy in making life fun.
Allen also had a well-known sweet tooth, something he often joked came naturally because he grew up in Sugar City. Whether it was dessert after dinner, candy, or a favorite treat, he rarely turned down something sweet and enjoyed sharing those simple pleasures with family and friends.

Animals held a special place in Allen’s heart. He adored his Great Danes and was known for proudly walking all three of them at once. He deeply missed the beloved dogs who passed before him and shared a special bond with his faithful dog, Hope, who is undoubtedly missing him now. He also loved cats and never seemed able to resist another furry friend. Family often joked that when Allen visited his daughter’s home, he somehow managed to leave with one of the family animals. To Allen, every animal deserved love, care, and a place to belong.

Allen’s family extended well beyond those related by blood. He was loved by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, bonus children, bonus grandchildren, dear friends, and neighbors. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and loved.

Allen will be remembered for his hardworking hands, generous heart, devotion to family, love of animals, passion for classic Fords, pride in Colorado, creative spirit, and unforgettable sense of humor. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he shared, the laughter he spread, and the memories he created.

The things he built, the lives he touched, and the family he loved will continue to carry his legacy forward for generations to come. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
