Alice Miriam Atchison

Alice Miriam Atchison, 77, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2004. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Atchison of the family home in Rye; children, Judy (Wayne) Black of North Bend, Oregon, Carl Atchison of Rye, Dan (Paula) Atchison of Pueblo; sister, Pearl (Ebert) Hawkins of Pueblo; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Perry G. and Alice E. Skelton; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. Miriam was born on December 25, 1926, in Pueblo and had lived in Rye for over 50 years. Member of Rye Home Methodist Church and Park Hill Christian Church. Miriam and Carl were married on July 2, 1945, in Raton, New Mexico. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at Park Hill Christian Church, 1401 E. 7th St., with the Reverend Dr. Charlene Nimmo officiating.
