Albert R. Golob, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015. He proudly served in the United States Army and after 42 years of service retired from CF&I Steel (Evraz) Mill's Rod-Bar mill. He spent many years enjoying fishing, hunting and camping. He was also known for his great sense of humor. Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Katherine Golob; brother, Bob (Thelma) Golob; and sister, Kathy (Jim) Wassam. Survived by his wife, Vivian; daughter, Kim (Gerry) Shisler; son, Bud (Diane) Golob; grandchildren, Joselyn, Carlyn, Ross and Maggie; brother, Gene (Pat) Golob; and many nieces nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
