Alan Gene Valliant, 65, passed away January 4, 2014, in Pueblo, Colo. Born October 8, 1948, at Chickasha, Okla., he was a resident of Pueblo for 55 years. Alan was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alfred Sr. and Hope Christene. He is survived by his brother, Alfred Jr. Alan was a proud veteran of the Viet Nam War, and with equal pride he served the Pueblo Police Department for 30 years. There will be no viewing or services.   2. Gene! Where do I start? I have known you for 13 years. When I started the PD, I met you on calls on graveyards. When I went to days, is when I was truly blessed with your friendship. You were a funny, intelligent man and a fantastic cop. I learned so much from you. I have always valued our friendship and I look forward to meeting you up there and throwing back a few beers. I love you Gene and I will miss you.
