Alan Gene Valliant, 65, passed away January 4, 2014, in Pueblo, Colo. Born October 8, 1948, at Chickasha, Okla., he was a resident of Pueblo for 55 years. Alan was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alfred Sr. and Hope Christene. He is survived by his brother, Alfred Jr. Alan was a proud veteran of the Viet Nam War, and with equal pride he served the Pueblo Police Department for 30 years. There will be no viewing or services. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Those who desire, may make memorials to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through the funeral home. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward

  1. Gene was my friend and co-worker at Pueblo Transit. Greatman, dear friend. Gene invited me to his home, gave me a very nice motorcycle helmet and gloves. He was the good in this world. I am saddened at hearing of his passing.

  3. Gene! Where do I start? I have known you for 13 years. When I started the PD, I met you on calls on graveyards. When I went to days, is when I was truly blessed with your friendship. You were a funny, intelligent man and a fantastic cop. I learned so much from you. I have always valued our friendship and I look forward to meeting you up there and throwing back a few beers. I love you Gene and I will miss you.
