Adolphus 'Doogie' 'Davie' Crockett, 90, a longtime Pueblo resident, passed away Mar. 7, 2010. Son of Mack and Sarah Crockett. Born Nov. 11, 1919, in Cumberland, Okla. He was a World War II veteran serving in the South Pacific. He worked for several years at CF&I. He retired after many years as head custodian at Goodnight School. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; adopted son, Steve; sisters, Cleo, Bernice and Lorretta; brothers, J.L., Adran, Bill and William. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Julia; her four children; sister-in-law, Elvira Tilley; grandchildren, Steve (Tersa) Dressen, Lori (Ed) Roberts, Ami and Daniel Crockett; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was a longtime member of Bruner Park Evangelical Church and Faith United Methodist Church. Graveside service, 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at Mountain View Cemetery, 1315 Acero Avenue, with the Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
