Addie M. Gibson

Addie M. Gibson, 101, went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2017. Survived by a brother, Lloyd (Mary) Fitzwater of Potosi, Mo.; daughters, Glenda Wright and Sharon A. Gibson; grandchildren, Terril (Martyn) Irvine, Ronda Knowlton, Sandra (Ben) Artichoker, Jim Groover, Jeff (Linda) Groover and Gary E. (Shawna) Gibson Jr.; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren; plus many friends who claimed her as 'Mom' or 'Grandma.' Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Glenn E. Gibson; son, Gary E. Gibson, Sr.; and son-in-law, Burton Wright. Addie was born to Leonard and Sarah Fitzwater on Nov. 18, 1915, in Huzzah, Mo. Addie and Glenn moved to Pueblo, Colo. in 1939. She was a busy homemaker who enjoyed her family and sewing for them. Service, 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Antioch Baptist Church, 3220 W. Pueblo Blvd. The family greatly appreciates the love and care given by the staff of Pueblo Villa and Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
