Adalia Herrera, 89, departed this life for a new location on Dec. 2, 2012. Imagine falling asleep then waking up and finding heaven your home! To greet her first was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Preceded in death and waiting for her arrival were her husband of 47 years, Adelaido Herrera; daughters, Anita Sneathen and Theodora Griego; and sons, Eddie and Raymond Herrera. Survived by loving daughter, Rita Barela; sons, Henry(Ella Mae) Herrera and Richard (Pat) Herrera; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Viola Vigil; brothers, Tony and Gomesindo Trujillo; special sons-in-law, Robert A. Sneathen, Willie Griego; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Herrera; special sister-in-law, Luisa Trujillo; and cousin, Beatrice Roybal. Adalia was an honorary member of St. Anne's Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and having her family around her. She will be remembered for her green chili, homemade tortillas and warm hospitality to all who entered her home. Visitation, 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Rosary, 7 p.m. Thursday, and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, both at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2701 E. 12th Street. Interment, Imperial Cemetery.
