and resilience throughout her life, living far beyond what was medically expected.

Kirston was so much more than her illness. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
Kirston was joyful, kind-hearted, and a gentle soul with a beautiful smile and a laugh that

people she cared about, especially her mom, Lisa and her brother, Daniel along with many of her family and friends.

Kirston had a soft spot for beautiful things and enjoyed flowers, the outdoors, the mountains, and most of all, the simple moments that made life special.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Kirston loved her church and treasured her church family.
There was no doubt that she knew she was loved by the Lord, her family and so many more.
The relationships she formed at church brought her comfort, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

  1. I first met thus special girl while she was working on her diploma at PCC. I was impressed with the fight in her, despite her health obstacles at the time. She inspired her healthy peers to persevere without complaining. I am so glad that I was able to know her.

  2. CandleImageKirston, This breaks my heart to know your gone and it breaks even worse for Daniel and your family to have to say goodbye when you are so young. a life cut short but what blessing it was to know you and love you. I know Tommy must have met you and I’m sure that was a wonderful reunion. Rest in Peace Angel….until we meet again. My boys and I feel truly blessed to have had you for the short time we did. Thank you Kirston for always being the loving soul you were. You touch so many in ways you may never know. Gone but not forgotten….love you to the moon and back….

  4. CandleImageYou introduced me to Mac n cheese and baked beans!! Didn’t know it was so good together😃. I met you sometime in 2006, at your house on Caledonia. At the time I didn’t know I would be so close to you or the rest of the family for the next 20 yrs! I love you and hope your enjoying being with your dad , your Grammas n grampas, and uncle.

  5. I first met Kirston when I moved next door to her and her mom,Lisa.
Kirston was a sweet and beautiful friend, and I was always there for her, when she needed a ride to her dr appointments
I was also there for her as well as a couple neighbors, when her mom wasn’t around.. i remember kirston was going. on a date and she wanted to borrow a pair of nice shoes..she was excited and I was happy for her..not once did I ever see her without a smile ,no matter what she went through in her life..and she always put a smile on my face too.
She was full of life and joy.. i always told her that I loved her and that God loved her even more, she would reply back by saying :I love you too Josetta, even tho my name is JoEtta, it didn’t matter, that was her name for me.. i got sad when she moved away, and always prayed that God would watch over her…now I got sad again when I found out that she went to be with the Lord..; but now that she’s gone, her life has just begun..and I know she’s not in pain or suffering any longer..and I kno she’s got a big smile on her face..love you Kirston and I’ll see you when I get there..
