Born in:
La Junta, Colorado
Resided in:
Pueblo West, Colorado
Davis Kimball Fredregill, son of Robert and Katryna Fredregill, was born November 30, 1985 and passed away May 2, 2026. He will be dearly missed.
Davis was born “in-action.” He grew up on the family’s land in Beulah, Colorado, a perfect place for a little boy who never stopped moving. He was a cute kid with a mischievous smile and twinkle in his eyes that often betrayed his intentions of adventure. He broke and fixed, climbed and jumped, played and played. There was soccer and roller hockey, violin and clarinet, track and snowboarding. As a teenager he completed RAGBRAI (a 500-mile bike ride across Iowa) on a tandem bike with his dad.
A born outdoorsman, Davis’ love for nature and animals threaded through his life. At nearly any point in his first 18 years he had some sort of animal in his care: dogs, cats, lizards, hamsters, salamanders, and snakes. Every dog in his orbit became his best buddy, thanks to lots of on-the-floor scratches and snuggles.
As a young adult, Davis joined the U.S. Air Force as a TACP, an elite Special Warfare Airman. He was an excellent marksman and mentally strong as hell, proudly spending 10 years defending the United States, including two tours in Afghanistan. After leaving the military, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Machining/Precision Manufacturing. He could talk for hours about his work, and each expertly-made piece was his mark of excellence.
When he wasn’t at work, he was hunting or fishing or dreaming up his next project. He was always a dreamer. A project-planning, future-focused, “what-can-we-do-next” man.
Davis was a true character. Droll and stoic, yet sharp and hilarious. He had his own “Davis-isms,” words and phrases that only made sense coming from him. He kept his family and friends laughing, and his belly laugh was like no other. He was a steadfast supporter at the family gatherings, a willing participant in his niece’s cheerleading routines, a magnificent bear-hugger, and the best son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle anyone could ask for.
Davis is survived by his parents, Bob and Tryna; his sister, Lynette Fry (Jonathan); nieces Maribel and Lucia Fry; and a colorful group of aunts, uncles, and cousins (and dogs, of course).

There are no words. It’s not supposed to happen this way, but sadly it has. My heart aches for you. Draw strength and comfort from one another and the wonderful memories you share of Davis. God be with you all. Rest in Paradise, Davis.
This Man was a Gentleman! One of the finest humans I have ever known!
Davis was a Bonus Brother to my Brother, Christopher Martinez. When he came into our world, he did so with the upmost compassion, genuineness and a soul of grace. He shared such profound experiences with my brother. They were absolute Brothers of the Heart! Davis’ spirit lit up every room he walked in to. Our family gives so very much thanks to God for leading his pathway unto us. Our heatfelt thanks and prayers to the Fredregill family for sharing him with us. Forever treasured in our hearts!
Bob and Tryna,
My deepest condolence to you all.
