Dear Harriet,
Frances called me to tell me about Bob’s death. I am so sorry. I’m really sorry I never got to meet him, but I am so glad he came into your life. You and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. Give Ginger a special hug for me, and tell her I remember when she was 4 years old! We go back a long way, Harriet, and your beautiful afghan, which you made for us for our wedding present, still keeps us warm after 26 years! You also rescued me after I’d moved to Columbia and TRIED to set up my office. You came all the way from Atlanta to help me get settled. I wish I could see you right now and hug you close. Frances promises y’all will stop when you go to Myrtle Beach later in the year. Love and prayers,
Lucie

To Harriet, all the kids and spouses – brother, and those grandbabies, I wish I could be there but am with you in spirit. Bob was a great husband, father, brother, granddad and the greatest friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. I love you all and will keep you in my prayers. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Dear Harriet & the kids, I just wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I loved Bob very much, as he was my favorite “uncle”. Harriet,
I’ve thought of you & Smitty often after you left Oakdale. I owe a debt of gratitude to him for hiring me as his Facility Assistant back in 1990, and I’m still there. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
God Bless,
