Norma Jean “Jeanie” Port, 77, of Pueblo, gained her angel wings on January 1, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Cordell, Oklahoma on May 13, 1945 to parents, Lorean and Stanley Mendrek who both preceded her in death. Jeanie loved to cook, take walks, crochet and garden; but most of her time was spent being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all she loved. She also had a strong love for animals, and took pride in devoting herself to her many grand-dogs. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carmen Stephen Port; sons, Glen (Lauri) Port, Alan (Pam) Port, Ross (Layla) Port; five grandchildren, Cristopher (Ashley) Port, Andrew Port, Katie (Eric) Port, Sarah (Brian) Gallina, Victoria (Thatcher) Murdock; brother, Michael Mendrek; niece, Andrea (Kirk) Crespin; nephew, Nick Kimbrel; great niece, Abigail (Dawson) Reeks; and great nephew, Shawn Propst. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Mendrek and sister, Betty Kimbrel. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Imperial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Sangre De Cristo Hospice, 1920 Valley Dr., Pueblo, CO 81008 or the Pueblo Humane Society, 4600 Eagleridge Place., Pueblo, CO 81008.   1. Sending hugs and strength to the family. I remember Jeanie being a devoted and supportive mother to her 3 boys. Always made me feel welcome at their home. Rest in peace sweet lady.
