  1. Mrs A was easily Kristie @ my favorite person, teacher, role model, friend. I often tell the story of the day Mike & I arrived for a conference and she was crying. Cloud, the classroom guinea pig had died. I delivered another on my lunch break, who happened to be pregnant. Baby born soon after. I took baby to pet store for sex determination and was told it was a girl so Mrs A raised them together. They had twins by the end of the school year. Everyone in the class that wanted a pet got one. She and I laughed about it everytime we saw each other. Sweetest soul in The World. My prayers to her family

  3. Dear Atkinson family,
I am so sorry for your loss, and ours.
Linda and I go back a long way – to Iowa. She was the beautiful baby sister I never had. She, her parents, Gramma Em and her family spent many happy times with me and my family. She grew up to be the same beautiful, sweet person I’d always known.
Our memories are the legacy that will live on forever in our hearts.
God bless and keep you all.
    With Love, Sue (Fitzsimmons) Lessin

  5. Atkinson Family,
My name is Mattea Brice, and I had Mrs. A as a first grade school teacher at Haaff Elementary in 2001. I am now a sophomore in college at CSU Fort Collins studying Human Development and Family Studies, and I can honestly say its because of the beautiful impact Mrs. A had on me. Out of all the professors and teachers I have ever had, she was my favorite, and I am so unbelievable blessed that God gave her to me as not only a teacher, but a role model and friend. I hope to one day love and teach children the way she did. She had such a beautiful and welcoming smile, one that no other mentor could replace. There is no doubt in my mind she is teaching little angels up in heaven. I never got the chance to truly thank her for the amazing effect she had on my life, but I will live my life in a way that would make her smile and proud. My condolences and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time. Mrs. A was an incredible woman, and I am really going to miss her.
    All my love,
    Mattea Brice

  11. Tracy and Family,

There are no words that best express our deepest, sincere sympathies and condolences for the loss of Linda “Lucky” as a wife, mother, friend and teacher.
It was the way she treated children, especially my own Armando and Briana, with kindness and care that I will always treasure and remember. Linda was a loving person and it showed with every interaction. She will be missed but her legacy will live forever with those of us who were blessed to know her as a friend.

    Godspeed!

  15. I am so sorry to read of her passing. She was a wonderful and loving 1st grade teacher to two of my children. Her quiet and loving ways were so appreciated by me and she was truly loved by my kids. I used to tell my kids they’d never have a teacher like her again. I used to call her classroom “Lucky’s World” when I’d help out. It was like the whole class responded to her calm in a way I had never seen. It was wonderful to watch. I am so sorry for your loss, our prayers are with all of you.
