Jerry A. Standard, 78, passed away April 7, 2017. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Pat; children, Laura Standard, Jerry Standard Jr. and Diane Perkins; sisters, Eloise Standard and Mary Margaret Standard; beloved nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; and last but not least, Maddie, 'The un-trainable dog!' Preceded in death by his parents, Glade and Edith Standard; and brother, Jack Standard. Jerry was born April 22, 1938, in Macomb, Ill. After 21 years of service, he retired from the US Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant and later was the Public Works director for Monument, Colo. for 20 years. Jerry enjoyed classic cars, baseball, military and US history. He was a member of Pueblo West Sportsman Association and formerly of the Outlaw Car Club. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 310 W. 11th St. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. I am so deeply saddened to have come across this today. Jerry was a good man and I cared a great deal for him. My most sincere condolences to Pat, Laura, Jay and Diane.
