William Joseph Donlon, 87, passed away on August 31, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Sandra H. Donlon; children, Patricia Poll, William Donlon, Jr., and Robert Donlon; step-children, Derik (Donna) Wren, Darci Wren, and Glonda (Pat) Becker; over 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his dog, Nero.
Preceded in death by parents, Helen and Michael Donlon; siblings, Helen Donlon and Robert Donlon; and son, Michael Donlon.
William was born on December 15, 1938, in Queens, New York. He retired from the phone company after 33 years and was the President of the Communication Workers of America Union.
He enjoyed metal detecting, spending time with family and friends, and his animals, especially Nero.
Memorial service, 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel with a Military Honors ceremony.
In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Sandra Donlon.
