LTC (Ret.) Donald Valentine Hallock, 91, passed away Aug. 7, 2026. Preceded in death by his wife, Jean R. Hallock. Survived by 5 children , Jim (Jan), John, Donald Jr. (Lois), Mary Hughes (Stark) and Anne Bergstrom; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was born to Ruth and Donald Hallock on March 15, 1935, in Lander, Wyo. He retired after 25 years of career military service in the U.S. Army with two combat tours in Vietnam. He received multiple awards and commendations, including the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit. For 14 years at Pueblo County High School, he was a professor of Military Science ROTC. He enjoyed travel, reading and above all, his family.

I have to agree with Dave, I have fond memories of listening to Uncle Don and Pop tell stories together. Don and I also had some nice conversations about his roses! Smell the roses, Uncle Don.
So sorry for hearing of your passing!
My sympathies to all my cousins and their families. I will miss getting Uncle Don and Pop together and watching them try to understand each other. They did surprisingly well considering how deaf they both were.
Rest in sweet peace, Uncle Don. Hug Mom, Dad and Mausi for me, please!
