The beautiful little wildflower known as Stevie Wren Sisk bloomed with extraordinary strength, light, and love before being gently carried home on May 9, 2026, at Children’s Hospital, Colorado Springs. Stevie spent her final days surrounded by devoted family, cherished friends, and the compassionate Children’s Hospital staff who became like family along the way.
Born in Pueblo, Colorado on September 5th, 2024, Stevie was the beloved daughter of Mattea and Riley Sisk. Diagnosed with an exceedingly rare metabolic condition, Stevie spent her life defying expectations with a resilience far greater than her tiny frame. Though doctors prepared her family for limitations, Stevie continued to surprise everyone around her with her strength, determination, and the way she fought through every obstacle placed before her.
She loved walks in the sunshine, cuddles with her papa and her GiGi, visits from grandad and grandma Sisk, and spending time with her auntie Anne and beloved nurses Julie and Trudy, as well Julie’s daughter, Ami, who brought so much joy and companionship into her life. Stevie was full of personality; sweet, sassy, strong-willed, and deeply loved by her parents and everyone fortunate enough to know her or even know of her. Though her life was far too short, the love she gave and the impact she left behind will continue to bloom in the hearts of so many forever.
Stevie is preceded in death by her Great-Papa Ols (Carl Olson) and her Great-Grandma Brice (Lunda Brice), and the family finds comfort in imagining their joyous union in Heaven. She is survived by her parents, Mattea and Riley Sisk, her grandparents, Sandy and Cliff Brice and Rick and Lori Sisk, her uncles, Clifford Carl Brice and Drew (Megan) Brice, her cousin Declan, and a community of friends, family, and neighbors who were touched by her story and resilience.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the GoFundMe established to help other parents of medically complex children:

I didn’t know her but I loved her. She was in my prayers and on our prayer chain as well. What a true blessing from God. You could see how very loved she was by her papa, mom and family. She will forever leave an imprint on this world! My prayers for the entire family will continue. God is good! In our sorrow and pain he is still there with us!❤️❤️❤️
