Jamie Rose (Perry) Mascarenas, 72, passed away January 19, 2026, just two days shy of her 73rd  birthday. Survived by her daughter,  Christina Mascarenas, her faithful companions, her dog, Oliver and her grandcats, Peter James, Daisy Sofia, Hefe, Graysen, and Momma Cat. Also survived by her sister, Beverly (Perry) Graham; nieces and nephews, Robin (Woodard) Watson, Doug Woodard, Juli (Graham) Espinoza, Roxanne (Graham) and Dennis Britt;  her best friend Debbie (Sands) Holt and her children Jade, Kim, and Chad; great-nieces and nephews, Sidney, Cody, Brandon, and Chelsea; and her former husband, Robert Mascarenas. Preceded in death by her parents, James Pete Perry, Sr. and Margaret (Burton) Perry; sister, Sandra (Perry) Woodard, her brother, James Pete Perry, Jr.; and her dogs, Shania, Sissy, Poohy, and Nanna. Jamie Rose was born January 21, 1953 in Pueblo and was a lifetime Pueblo resident. Her first job was as a carhop at A & W Restaurant. She graduated from Centennial High School in 1971 and was a proud Bulldog. She worked in Admissions and the Patient Intake Department at Parkview Medical Center. She retired from EVRAZ North America Steel. She also worked as a Lab Tech at the Met Lab. At the time, she was one of the few women who worked outside in the mill with her hard hat and steel-toed shoes. Jamie earned her Associate of General Studies degree from Pueblo
Community College after four years of determination. Balancing full-time work at the steel mill by day and classes in the evening, she never gave up on her goal. Jamie Rose  served as an officer in the United Steelworkers Local 3267 along with being a member in Local 2102. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. You are welcome to jointhe family in person or in spirit as we celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026 in the Montgomery and Steward Chapel.
