Elva Y. Kochis, 71, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2025. Survived by her husband of 40 years, David Kochis; sister, Anita (Robert) Bernard; nephews, Chris (Sandy) Kochis, Carl Williams, James (Monica) Berry and Charles Berry. Also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family. She worked at Colorado Blue Skies for over 17 years. Elva served was Worthy Matron of the Canon City and Pueblo Eastern Star Chapters, as well as serving as Grand Martha for Easter Star. She loved music, reading books, working crossword puzzles, and traveling. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Kink of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Lane.

  8. Struggling to find the right words to express my deepest condolences. Over the last 15 years Elva has been a bright spot for me, we shared so many moments together – laughing, crying, sharing ups, downs and everything in between. It seems like she always knew when I needed an extra boost of love. I think of you often Elva, and the world is a much difference place without you. Thank you for blessing me with your love!!
