Harold Kenneth “Bud” Swartz

Bud was born August 16, 1933, in Pueblo, Colorado, and departed this life on November 15, 2025.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Mary (Curtsinger) Swartz; devoted wife, Katherine; daughter, Cindy; cherished granddaughter, Stefanie; and sisters, Joyce Greathouse and June Marcott.

Bud is survived by his daughters, Vicky (Steve) Watkins and Karen (Ron) Pike; grandchildren, Tiffany (Stewart) Gold, Luke Watkins, Justin (Shanna) Pike and Ryan Pike; as well as great-grandchildren, Charlee Watkins, Max Gold, Weston Gold, Presley Pike and Tanner Pike; and numerous much loved nieces and nephews. Bud is also survived by two very dear hunting and fishing buddies, Harry Flannery and Mike Leverett.

Many thanks to Lorraine and Bruce. Cordova and their family for watching out and caring for Bud and Katherine for many years. It was because of them that Bud was able to stay in his home almost to the end. Many thanks to Pueblo Abode Hospice, especially their precious nurse, Jenah, for her tender loving care and for Chaplain Jamie who took Bud on his very last fishing trip.

Per Bud’s request there will be no viewing or service. Bud was a sinner saved by grace, he is now in the presence of the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Parkhill Baptist Church, 4235 Parkhill Place, Pueblo, CO 81008 https://www.parkhillpueblo.com/donate

Guestbook

  1. CandleImageI met Bud in 1969 when I started working for Southern Colorado Power Company. I can best describe him as quite a “character” he always greeted people warmly (even a newbee) and made you feel like you belonged to the SoCoPoCo family. Rest in peace🕊️Bud.

  2. CandleImageI was so honored and blessed to care for you, Dad. We made many wonderful and lasting memories that will carry me through until we meet again. You tried hard, you did the best you could, and you loved us all. A life well lived. ❤️
