Born in: Dallas, Texas
Resided in: Pueblo, Colorado

Reba Lucille Farmer departed this earthly life 18 days before her 99th birthday. There is no doubt she is happily celebrating in the presence of Jesus as she lived her life in service to Him.

Born on September 28, 1926 to Cosmos Baker and Laura Lewis Baker in Dallas, Texas. Reba was the 3rd child, and only girl, in the family. She grew up enjoying a simple lifestyle in the Dallas area and was very proud to graduate high school at the age of 16.

In 1946, she married Raymond James and moved to Oklahoma City where she spent the greatest portion of her life until her move to Pueblo, Colo in 2010. Reba had two children in Oklahoma City and spent countless hours volunteering with various church and PTA groups while managing family duties. She worked for a number of years at the First National Bank in downtown Oklahoma City where she met and married William Harrison in 1973. They were together until his death in 1988.

Reba seemed to have much fun in the later stages of her life when Clifford Farmer asked for her hand in marriage in 1991. They spent the next 20 years enjoying family activities, serving at the Wesley United Methodist Church and traveling the world!

Reba was the perfect example of positivity and never spoke a cross or negative word. Her wit and humor were infectious. She and Cliff mentored many foreign students from the university through their church and hosted countless meals at their home. Reba was honored and thrilled to be a “Silver Queen” finalist in the Pueblo community just days before her passing. She spent her final days at the Life Care Center in Pueblo, Colo and passed peacefully at the local hospital.

Reba is survived by her children, Debra Kinney and husband, Brad Kinney of Pueblo, Colo, Mark James and wife, Michelle McCullough-James of Durango, Colo. and Oklahoma City, Okla; granddaughter, McKenzie James of Durango, Colo.; step-daughters who were very special to her, Carolyn Smith of Jenks, Okla, Joyce Farmer of Oklahoma City, Okla, and Chuckie Hill of Oklahoma City, Okla; and by many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This Mother and Grandmother will be truly missed. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
