Age 84

Frederick “Fred” Engler, age 84, gently passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on June 21, 2025.

Born on October 5, 1940, in Bridgeton City, New Jersey, Fred was the beloved son of Frederick Henry Engler and Elizabeth Peirce Engler. A man of quiet strength, gentle presence, and a heart rooted in faith, Fred lived his life with grace, humility, and a deep love for others.

He is now reunited in Heaven with his dear wife, Nonita Anasario; his parents; his sisters, Joyce Tighe and Betty Goins; nephews, George Goins and Brian Goins Sr.; and niece, Teresa Goins.

Fred’s memory will be lovingly cherished by his stepdaughter, Dyna Anasario Simmons (Charles); his step-grandson, Brandon Simmons; nephews, James and John Tighe; nieces, Colleen Goins Farley and Linda Goins Ellis; and grandnieces, Amy Lee Tighe, Natasha Barfus, Kelly Ellis Rodriguez, and Alexandra Goins.

Fred served faithfully in several customer service and retail roles throughout his life, retiring from Lowe’s with a reputation for kindness and reliability. Though soft-spoken, his presence brought calm and comfort wherever he went. He found deep joy in being part of the Family Worship Church and Living Faith Church communities, where his quiet faith was lived out through his kindness, encouragement, and servant heart.

He loved visiting with family and friends, watching his favorite sports teams, and relaxing with game shows like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price Is Right. But above all, Fred was a man who found strength in simplicity, joy in connection, and peace in his walk with God.

His gentle spirit and loving heart are a testimony to a life well lived. Fred’s faith never wavered—and now, he rests in eternal peace.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home, 1317 North Main Street, Pueblo, Colorado. A luncheon will follow.
