Sally Ruth Porter

My mother, Sally Porter. An incredible life. From moving at the tender age of 17 to New York City from Ft. Worth Texas and so many other life adventures. Teaching in Santa Fe New Mexico at the Institute of American Indian Arts, living in Germany as a Department of Defense teacher to joining the Peace Corps at the tender age of 80 years old and ultimately retiring in Pueblo Colorado. My mother was well loved by all who knew her and appreciated her vibrant and lovely energy. She was a masterful storyteller and an artist in the garden.

I am deeply sad to hear of my mother’s passing. Rest in peace, Mom.
