Richard John Patton Sr., 76, passed away on October 22, 2023. Survived by wife, Sharon Patton; children, Richard Patton Jr. (Lori), Deanna Cozzolino (Kevin), Rhonda Sandoval (Maria), John Yalotz Jr. (Brooke) and Shari Yalotz (Shawn).
 
Siblings: Patricia, Jim (Karen), Elaine (Dan), George (Lori), Molly (Jeff) & Katy.
 
Grandchildren: R.J., Tasha, Scott (Jessica), Carl, Sara (Moses), Brittany (Justin), Riley, Cade, Sabrina (Sean), Cody, Bailey (Danielle), Aubree, Macenzee, Karli, Carson.
 
Great Grandchildren: Aiden, Addison, Lyman, Dale, Cooper, Eleanor, Mason, Eloise, Skylin, Bryson, Kinley, Katey Jo, Logan, Cameron.
And numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Mary Patton, Wife, Peggy Patton; Son, Robert Jay Patton & Sister, Beverly Dadd.
Richard was born in Pueblo, Colorado, on April 3, 1947. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era on the USS SARATOGA. He retired from the Pueblo Police Department after 28 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, camping, and most of all, spending with family.
Richard was a member of the Eagles #145 in Pueblo.
Memorial service, 2 pm Friday, October 27 in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel with a reception to follow.

  1. CandleImageRon & I and our nephew Richard lived near Richard. Peggy, Richard, Jr. & Deanna in the Baxter area. (So many Richards) Both of the little Richards were about 3 & Deanna was the best baby ever. We were young couples who worked hard and loved our families. We moved away but stayed in contact a little through the years. So sorry for your loss. He was a good man.

This teenager will never forget him he was always nice to me and even though he’s gone he will always be by your side sherry no matter what happens no matter how things go he will always be there and alive in your heart and think of it this way he’s no longer in pain or suffering but he will always watch over you from the sky he loved you just as much as you loved him never forget that always and forever he will be in your heart
