Celebration of Life:

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Juanita Baca, announces her passing on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 81.

Mary was born in Del Norte, CO to Isabelle and Manuel LeBlanc on December 1st, 1941. She had older siblings, Joe, Eloy, Albert, Edward, and Lucinda, and younger siblings Tommy, Frances, Gloria, and Steve.

Mary had many fond memories of growing up in such a close-knit family. Her father passed away when she was a teenager, and she helped her mother and older siblings raise the younger children.

Mary caught the eye of Young Esteban (Steve) Baca, and they were soon married on August 31st, 1963 in Del Norte, Colorado. Mary was a homemaker and worked for the Del Norte Public Schools for many years in the cafeteria. When Mary moved to Pueblo, she worked for several years for Building Blocks Preschool. Mary loved spending time with her husband Steve and working in her flower garden. Mary loved her grandchildren to the moon and back, and never missed the opportunity to spend time with them.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Esteban Baca; daughter, Sandra; and sons, Kenneth (Meghann) and Matthew. Mary has 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her baby daughter, Laney who passed when she was 6 months old.

The family would like to thank all her friends and neighbors who have helped during this trying time.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held June 17th, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with her nephew Deacon Jerry Leblanc officiating. A reception will follow for friends and family in the banquet hall. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
